Painting the Memories of Light
Drawing light that should not be visible—
As if gently scooping it from the silence.
Stillness, lingering resonance, the breath of life—
These are the landscapes lit deep within the heart.

Mahorobart
Digital Picture Art Works by Maho

Mahorobart is the name of my digital picture artworks.
My creations range from dreamy illustrations like storybook title pages, to portraits of beautiful women that seem to hold emotions, to watercolor paintings that project my own feelings into fantasy worlds.
What I can draw at any given time is limited.
That’s why I pour the feelings I can only express in that moment into my pen—so that no precious emotion is lost.
Scenes from Treasured Memories
My journey into canvas painting began during the time I was creating handmade accessories. I started painting to decorate the shop alongside my jewelry. Birds, butterflies, horses, and the wind—things I love deeply—came alive on canvas, as did imaginary worlds inspired by classical music such as Saint-Saëns’ Aquarium and Beethoven’s Pathétique.
Over time, these canvas paintings began to quietly reflect my inner world.
Today, my digital artworks inherit the spirit of those early canvases and have grown into two major series: the Memento Series and the Mahoroba Fantasy Series.
The Memento Series captures the memories I never want to forget—the ones we must never forget. These treasured moments are etched into the blockchain as on-chain NFTs, ensuring they continue to shine even after I am gone.
To deliver what is precious to the future, I will continue creating the Memento Series as a lifelong endeavor.

Within Beautiful Eyes

The women portrayed in my bijin-ga (beautiful women paintings) are constant companions who gently encourage me. Sometimes they smile, sometimes their gaze gives me strength when I falter.
This series invites you to feel the world beyond the frame—through them.
What kind of scenery are they gazing upon?
What emotion lies behind that expression?
Is it joy or sorrow?
Anger or resolve?
Hope or disappointment?
Their expressions reflect the state of our own hearts in that moment.
Through their gaze, gestures, and presence, we perceive the “outside world”—our world—as seen through their eyes.
If you see joy, then she rejoices with you.
If you feel sadness, she shares your sorrow.
If you see determination, she silently supports your resolve.
“What kind of world, what kind of people, are reflected in those eyes?”
The Eyes on Collection captures fleeting moments from the stories of these women.
They shine within the light of their own narratives—each work is a portrait of a beautiful woman as imagined through my artistic lens.
Capturing Fleeting Emotions
Since I began painting, I’ve come to realize something important.
What I truly want to depict is not just landscapes or beautiful scenery, but the emotions I felt in those moments, the sense of awe or resonance I experienced.
Beliefs and convictions don’t change so easily—but emotions shift constantly, moment to moment.
What I feel now may transform by tomorrow.
Still, even if those emotions fade or go unspoken, they did exist.
The feeling of caring for someone, even if never conveyed, was real.
Even if it disappears tomorrow, you were here in that moment.
That’s why I want to scoop up and preserve those fleeting feelings—yours, mine, anyone’s.
Because they will vanish someday, I want to give them form while they’re still here.
That desire gave birth to the Lineark series.
“Linea” means line in Latin, and “Ark” symbolizes a vessel of hope.
Each connected line carries me forward, like an ark sailing into new lands.
Through expressive line drawings and translucent watercolors, I directly channel my emotions into these works.
Please take a moment to experience them.

Permanent Exhibition in the Metaverse
My artworks are permanently exhibited in various metaverse spaces.
Each gallery is designed with care to allow viewers to experience the works in a serene, immersive environment.
To match the mood of each piece, I compose and arrange the music played within the galleries myself.
Every virtual museum is an artwork in its own right.
I warmly invite you to step inside and explore the world of Mahorobart.

A Museum in the Metaverse – Cluster
This virtual art museum was created within the metaverse platform Cluster.
By downloading the app and entering the world, you can step inside a carefully curated space filled with my works.
The gallery walls are adorned with a wide range of pieces—from Music Imagery Art and line drawings created before I began working with NFTs, to the Memento Series, Hanafuda Collection, and Bijin-ga portraits of graceful women.
Among the highlights are the Ino-Shika-Chō story from the Hanafuda Collection, beautifully displayed across one entire wall, as well as Meteor and Venus from the Memento Series, which were exhibited during my Tokyo showcase.
The background music features my orchestral arrangement of KOKIA’s “Aoi Sora Soredake Nanoni” (Just the Blue Sky, and Nothing More), a song that carries a heartfelt message:
Even if the journey must end someday, let us live it to the fullest.
Please take your time and enjoy the many artworks throughout the space, accompanied by this music close to my heart.
A Digital Museum on Oncyber
This museum is hosted on the Oncyber platform, where both new and past works are on permanent display.
The space is divided by collection, allowing visitors to experience each body of work in its own dedicated room.
For NFT pieces tied to the Ethereum blockchain, the system dynamically retrieves metadata linked to each token on-chain and displays the artwork in real-time.
A Proof of My Presence – Through NFTs
Many of my artworks are minted as NFTs and permanently recorded on the blockchain.
Each piece I create reflects something I felt or pondered at a particular moment in time—my inner thoughts made visible on canvas.
NFTs serve as a digital signature, certifying that I am the original creator.
They are proof that I was here.
Some works would never have come into being if not for the encounter with NFTs.
This technology gave me a new language for expression—and a way to deliver my light to the future.
